Black Hawk College was in need of a new construction of approximately 9,800 square foot. A two-story addition to the west side of Building 1 on Black Hawk College’s Quad-Cities Campus was started. Approximately 6,600SF of interior space was remodeled for a bookstore, student lounge and circulation space.
Along with the complex design with radius foundation walls to tie into the existing building, we had to construct this foundation over an existing tunnel. We provided the concrete floor slabs and the concrete slabs on deck for the second story of the project. The site concrete consisted of retaining walls and sidewalks.
We had the honor of working with Black Hawk College on the expansion of their student service center.
